Conway Tree Care, A Corridor Town We Know Well
Conway is out toward Lebanon, a good stretch from our shop, and it's still a place we're glad to serve. Our goal is for you to understand the plan and feel comfortable with the people carrying it out, from the first phone call to the last load of brush.

On-site estimate. We typically call back within 60 minutes during business hours.
Our apologies - that didn't go through. Call us instead and we'll get your estimate started:

“The crew was professional and did a great job. I had a large maple cut down and a very tall oak trimmed away from my house. A smaller tree was also cut down. Safety was a priority. They worked fast and got the work done in two days, including cleanup. I highly recommend them.”
- A leaning tree over the driveway, a hedge that's gotten away from you — we handle both on the same visit
- Older highway-corridor lots vary more than a platted subdivision, so we quote every property in person, not off a description
- Scheduled as our calendar allows
- On-site estimate - clear, understandable, simple

When Is a Tree Too Far Gone?
Not every struggling tree needs to come down, but some can’t be saved. When we’re making that call, these are the signs we weigh most:
- Canopy dieback: when roughly a third to half of the upper canopy is dying back, the roots usually can’t support what’s left.
- Trunk damage: bark protects the layer that carries water and nutrients. If half or more of it is peeling away, or the trunk has large splits, the tree’s internal structure is failing.
- Fungal growth at the base: shelf-like mushrooms on the lower trunk usually mean the wood inside is already rotten or hollow, even if the leaves are still green.
- Sudden leaning: trees lean slowly toward the sun over the years. A tree that shifts suddenly has root trouble, and the question becomes when it falls, not if.
If you’re seeing one of these, have it looked at before the next storm does the deciding.
“We had a couple of dead trees near our house removed and the stumps ground down. They did a great job. The crew was professional and cleaned up the debris. They were also polite and made sure we were happy before they left. Prompt service from the first call, to the estimate, and the job. Thanks Kelsey, Luke, and the guys on the work crew.”
Conway is one of our farther stops, and one we keep on a regular schedule.
Trufast runs out of Springfield, about 45 minutes from Conway. It's one of the 17 southwest Missouri communities we cover, and because it sits in our outer service tier, jobs are booked as capacity allows.
Trufast stays owner-operated, start to finish, and our ISA Certified Arborist is the one we lean on for the decisions that take more than experience alone.
“Luke and his team are very hard workers and provide a professional result. Thanks”
“Curious staff, did quality job. Will use again.”
“All workers were polite and competent. they arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. Really like their work!”
“We were very pleased their work, they showed up when they said they would and cleaned up afterwards and was courteous with good communication from start to finish.”
“They did great work, fast and efficient. They took care of all the things we asked for tree trimming and cleaned up afterwards. Would highly recommend!”

Conway grew up along the old Route 66 corridor rather than as a planned neighborhood, and that shows up in how a job gets planned out there. A bit more about the area below.
A corridor town, not a subdivision grid
Conway’s older Route 66/I-44 corridor layout means lots tend to follow the pattern of a highway-era town rather than a platted subdivision — mature trees close to road frontage, and more variation in setback and lot shape than you’d find in a newer planned neighborhood. That variation matters more for access planning (where a truck and chipper can actually get in) than raw lot size does.

Laclede County’s oak-hickory upland
Laclede County sits in the rolling Ozark upland east of Springfield — the same general oak-hickory forest character found across most of our southwest Missouri service area, with eastern red cedar encroaching along pasture edges and fence lines. It’s familiar territory for us, which is part of why the same crew and process travel well from Springfield out to Conway.
One of the last stops before Lebanon
Conway sits close to Laclede County’s seat, Lebanon, making it one of the farther towns on our route — part of why it falls into our outer service tier alongside Billings and Branson, with the scheduling approach described above.
Why technique and timing both matter
How you trim a tree affects how well a tree grows over time. Improper trimming and broken branches left to rot can result in the untimely death of the tree. Most often we are brought in to trim trees that are at least fifteen years old. These can require climbing when we cannot access them with a bucket truck.
Clearing rotten or weak branches
Over time because of wind, storms, and branches dying, a tree develops a significant amount of dead wood. Dead branches are weaker and can create a safety threat. If you have dead branches in your trees, and especially if they are hanging (aka widow makers) we will take care of them safely.
What goes into an estimate
All estimates are in-person and on-site because it has shown over the years to be so very difficult to make sure we are in agreement about what it is to do without walking through the property and talking with our customers. In that walkthrough, we will be listing how many trees there are that need some sort of service, whether trimming or removal, and how many obstacles we have to work around, like power lines or fencing. The size of the tree, how much we're doing to every tree, how much wood has to be removed, and how difficult it is to move the brush and wood out of the property all play a part in the ultimate estimate.
